Swasti, a part of the Catalyst Group embarked on its journey as a public health agency, addressing various human conditions such as HIV, sexual and reproductive health rights, and water sanitation and hygiene. However, it soon became evident that a comprehensive approach was necessary to truly impact people's health. Thus, Swasti evolved, understanding that achieving well-being requires a holistic, people-centered approach to healthcare.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the interconnectedness of human and planetary health. Recognizing the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities, Swasti expanded its focus to address environmental factors affecting health. As we look ahead, our goal is clear: to ensure everyday well-being for everyone, especially the most vulnerable, by 2030.
Swasti is deeply committed to partnering marginalized communities on their health and wellbeing journey and upholding principles of equity and empowerment. With expertise in disease prevention, treatment access, and holistic health systems, we strive to address the underlying social determinants of health.
Central to our approach is the Catalyst Group values - We are “Driven by Purpose, Vision and Meaning”, “Guided by Love, Peace, and Non-violence” and “Rooted in Truth, Respect, and Authenticity"
Stewardship guides our collaborations, as we work alongside partners to drive meaningful change. From grassroots organizations to global alliances, Swasti fosters partnerships to amplify impact and advance health equity.
We envision a world where everyone, especially the most vulnerable, can overcome barriers to well-being. By addressing socioeconomic and cultural inequalities, we aim to create inclusive health systems that prioritize the needs of all individuals and communities.
Our goal is to achieve 1 billion "healthy" days for vulnerable populations by 2030. Defined as days where individuals can engage in self-care, productivity, and happiness despite health challenges, these healthy days signify resilience and well-being.
At Swasti, we value equity, dignity, and resilience. By centering everyday well-being and fostering respectful partnerships, we aim to build resilient communities where everyone can thrive.
Individuals, families, communities, and key stakeholders play vital roles in driving health equity. Through collaboration and empowerment, we can collectively address health challenges and create a healthier, more equitable world.
Our theory of change emphasizes proactive community engagement, evidence-based interventions, and sustainable partnerships. By mobilizing resources and fostering innovation, we can translate our vision into tangible action for lasting impact.
